At Mechanical Research & Design, Inc., we are engaged in the design and manufacture of sealing, work assist, pressure testing, and isolation products (including functional, pressure-sealing, and structural solutions). We are committed to enhancing customer satisfaction, meeting all applicable requirements, and supporting our strategic direction through the continual improvement of our Quality Management System. We strive to provide innovative, highly engineered, reliable solutions, based upon proven methods, cutting edge R&D, and our customers’ specific application requirements.

Mechanical Research & Design, Inc.’s Quality Management System is certified to meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. Since 2000, we have been transforming and evolving our robust quality program, successfully passing customer quality audits for nuclear power and the offshore oil & gas industry, amongst others. Due to our close-knit, project oriented, team atmosphere, Mechanical Research & Design, Inc. specializes in customizing quality plans unique to the specific client, industry, standard, application, and regulatory requirements as specified. We have worked intensely with third party certification in design verification reviews as well as with third party inspection/review to cover the wide breadth of clientele we serve (CSA®, DNV®, Lloyds®, & Bureau Veritas®, to name a few).

Some of the standard services we are are project specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s), Third Party Inspection at pre-negotiated critical hold and monitor points, plans tailored specifically to internationally accepted standards and codes (ASME®, API®, AWS®, ASCE®, and many more), as well as specialized quality processes for counterfeit, fraudulent, and suspect item detection that are critical to the DOE and energy industry.
